the VIFF Centre is the year-round home of the Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) and features two screening venues — the 175-seat Vancity Theatre and the 41-seat Lochmaddy Studio Theatre. Upgraded in 2019-20, the facility now includes a bar-licensed concession lounge, a large-format screen theatre, new media lab, education suite and a modern lobby designed to function as a cultural meeting space. The VIFF Centre is ideal for cinephiles, members of film-industry, local community screenings, educational programs and film-culture events.
