A collage-like film, Marche commune delves into 125 years of cinema to illuminate something of a humanity in disarray, wavering, searching, stumbling, going the wrong way, and recovering. Taking the form of a vast nervous system in which each person's movement relates to that of others, the film's poetic experience becomes political by reconnecting the established links between individuals, and between individuals and the world.
