90-year-old Agatha forges a solitary existence on her ancestral farm, preserving heirloom seeds in her handmade universe. Practical and esoteric, her actions predate modern conveniences. Without a drivers license, cell phone, running water, or even a functioning landline Agatha’s daily rituals form a vivid counterpoint to modern life. The film, directed by artist Amalie Atkins, and shot by an-all female crew, has won several awards, including Hot Docs’ Best Canadian Feature Documentary Award 2025 and was the only documentary selected as one of Canada’s Top Ten Films of 2025 by TIFF.
